I have a DVI and a VGA computer. Can I still use a switch?

For mixed operation of VGA and DVI, please use one of the following digital switches:

  • DVIMUX (for single-link DVI)
  • DVIMUX-DL (for dual-link DVI)
  • DL-MUX (for dual-link DVI + network connection + monitoring ...)

These products switch both signal types. Please contact our sales team for more information.

Can I switch computers containing several graphics cards?

Can I switch computers containing several graphics cards?

Yes. Our multi-channel switches are best suited for this purpose. They access up to four video channels and keyboard/mouse for each computer. Multi-channel devices are abbreviated with "MC" (e.g. DVIMUX4-MC4-USB for 4 x video per computer)

Switching is carried out over hotkey, button, or external access (if provided for device). An LED at the switch highlights the active channel (computer).

What product is best suited for switching only keyboard and mouse?

The TradeSwitch switches keyboard, mouse, and audio signals between computer and highlights the active channel using LEDs. The LEDs can be attached to the monitors. The TradeSwitch does not transmit video signals.

I need a switch to connect 10 to 15 servers. Which one would you recommend?

I need a switch to connect 10 to 15 servers. Which one would you recommend?

The miniMUX8 is best suited for switching one computer. When cascaded, the device can switch between up to 64 computers.

From experience, one local administration console (in the server room) isn't enough. Often, a second console is desired. In this case we recommend employing Matrix Switches.

If you don't plan on increasing the number of computers and consoles, the CompactCenter X2 may be the solution you are looking for. In other cases the CATCenter NEO series or the DVICenter (for DVI-based systems) may be the perfect fit.
