ControlCenter 4-n and 8-n can be expanded on computer side as as well as on console side

Increasing number of computers

ControlCenters are expanded on computer side by combination with their expansion units. Each expansion unit increases the number of computer ports by 16 to a maximum of 96.

Each expansion unit requires one ADD-R card. In the basic unit, the ADD-R card occupies the slots of two computer cards. The basic unit can contain 6 expansion cards. To these 6 cards the user can connect 6 expansion units which each contain 16 computers. As complement, the expansion unit contains an ADD-T card.

Note: When ordering an expansion unit CC4-E or CC8-E the power cards POW40 (CC 4-n) or POW80 (CC 8-n) are included in the scope of delivery

Expansions of the console side for ControlCenter4-n / 8-n

The console side of the ControlCenter 4-n and ControlCenter 8-n systems can be expanded to 8 or 16 simultaneous consoles by coupling two ControlCenter systems.

Doubling is carried out at the computer. The connection module CATpro-UC provides two connections (RJ45 sockets) per server towards the ControlCenters and therefore splits the access to the connected computers.

Thus, one server can be addressed via two ControlCenter clusters and the number of accessing consols is increased respectively.

You need:

1 x “CATpro2-UC“ target module per computer

+ 1 identical ControlCenter 4-n or 8-n

Computer cards and console cards have to be ordered separately.

Expansion Control Center 4-n-MC

The ControlCentern 4-n-MC can be expanded on video side as well as on computer side.

The basic unit CC-4n-MCM is ready for taking 12 computer cards with 2 videochannels each.

If more video channels or computers have to be added, the respective CC4-MC units and cards have to be ordered.

Following expansions are possible:

Increasing video of the basic unit to 2 channels per computer

video expansion with CC-4n-MCS

The corresponding number of computer video-cards CC4-PC-MCS as well as console cards CC-CON-V for connecting additional monitors has to be ordered seperately.

Increasing the number of computers

Each expansion unit CC-4E-MCM increases the connectivity for computers by 16 at a maximum of 96.

Increasing the number of consoles above 4 is not possible with the ControlCenter-4n-MC.

Note: Each expansion unit comes with a power card POW80 included in scope of delivery.
