The connection of the workplaces is carried out either directly at the user cards or by a combination of user card and user module

User Cards

The user cards provide the necessary interfaces for the pheripherials (monitor, keyboard, mouse).

For the remote user modules corresponding user cards are available.

The user cards are available for analog (= direct) as well as digital (= over IP) access.

In multi–monitor operation it should be observed that at the remote IP console only the boot monitor of the particular computer is available.

User modules

The user modules are deployed if remote workplaces have to be connected to the ControlCenter.

Analog user modules enable the bridging of 200 metres to the ControlCenter in maximum while the IP user module in principal is not restricted in length.

Analog, remote workplace up to 200 metres

If the remote workplace to be established is stationary and not more than 200 metres off the ControlCenter, we recommend the application of the analog user modules.

ridge distances up to 200 metres over CAT-x-cable (x = 5,6,7)

CATRem for 1 x monitor

CATRem-MC3 for 3 x monitor (only with ControlCenter-4n-MC)

CATRem-MC4 for 4 x monitor (only with ControlCenter-4n-MC)

Alternative analog user modules:

As an alternative to bridge even longer distances you can chose from our KVM Extenders. They will be connected to the CC-2Con card instead of the peripherals.

KVM-over-IP workplace

If the remote workplace to be established is mobile or more than 200 metres off the ControlCenter, we recommend the application of the IP user module.
