Health management in all areas
In addition to safety and reliability, IT solutions need to provide optimal working conditions for air traffic controllers and ATSEPs. KVM equipment from Guntermann & Drunck (G&D) offers more than the simple switching and extending of computer signals. Computer and KVM operation is not only secured through a sophisticated redundancy and fallback system, but also by comprehensive, preventive monitoring. In air traffic control, KVM equipment can be applied in the most versatile ways
- In towers to remove computers from the limited working spaces of controllers
- In service management centres to use KVM to access all computers from computer-free workstations
- In control centres to increase the capacity and the productivity of supervisors and ATSEPs
- On the entire way through the airport to control the processes of baggage handling.
One of G&D’s most recent projects in the ATC industry is the renewal of the systems installed in the control centre of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH in Langen, Germany. As one of Europe’s most modern, most important and biggest control centres, the building offers space for several hundred controllers and flight data specialists. In the new control centre, supervisors and administrators use KVM to make sure any equipment is available and working so that the controllers can focus on executing their demanding tasks without any interruptions.
Developed from three decades of experience
At the upcoming World ATM Congress in Madrid, Guntermann & Drunck will present their KVM devices with comprehensive management functions and fallback concepts. For decades, international air traffic controls like DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, British NATS, Eurocontrol, Belgocontrol, Israel Airports Authority, SAKAERONAVIGATSIA Ltd. and many others trust in G&D’s equipment made in Germany. Guntermann & Drunck offer probably the largest KVM portfolio with a wide range of combination options. Developing innovative state-of-the-art devices motivates G&D to enthral their customers with special adjustments and developments coming from the field of air traffic control.
