“Learn, Discover, Be Inspired” – by the new matrix for KVM-over-IP™

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world's largest exhibition for AV and systems integration, will bring people and markets together in 2019 and showcase the most advanced AV integration solutions on the market.

German KVM manufacturer introduces ISE highlights

Leading technology providers are presenting this year's highlights under the motto "Learn, Discover, Be Inspired". German KVM manufacturers Guntermann & Drunck also aims at inspiring their visitors at stand 10-N180 by presenting their new KVM matrix for KVM-over-IP™ for the first time at ISE.

There will be plenty to see and do at the G&D stand: Visitors will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about KVM and discover how KVM can help them make their IT installations even more efficient. For this purpose, G&D will exhibit both classic, dedicated KVM systems and systems for KVM-over-IP™. Using exemplary control room installations, trade visitors will be able to experience how G&D KVM matrix systems work seamlessly with typical AV equipment such as media controls and controllers to ensure a homogeneous system and best possible interoperability.

ControlCenter-IP combines the advantages of classic matrices with the flexibility of IP systems

Together with a series of IP extenders, the ControlCenter-IP forms a powerful matrix with which any connected operator station can be granted access to any remote computer. Thus, operators benefit from the full performance of their computers even when operating them remotely and but yet in real time. While the network infrastructure takes over the transport of KVM-over-IP™ using network switches and routers, the ControlCenter-IP contributes the logic. Transmission takes place compressed via CAT cabling or optical fibres via standard IP-based networks on layer 3, with a data transmission rate of 1 Gbit/s per line.

Being able to use standard network components makes G&D’s KVM-over-IP™ particularly interesting because existing IT installations can be scaled more easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. Almost all components are plug & play devices, making it even easier and more comfortable to operate the system.

Real 4K over IP

The ControlCenter-IP system provides pixel-perfect images and uses the in-house compression technology HDIP. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. Thanks to this technology, the systems require less bandwidth to transmit signals – but still provide crystal-clear images and latency-free operation.

In combination with IP extender solutions for DP1.2a and DP1.1a as well as single link and dual link DVI, a wide range of video signals and resolutions up to real 4K over IP is supported.

Are we heading towards an all-IP world?

The AV industry continues to shift towards IP. AV and IT continue to merge, however, it might still be a while until we see an “all-IP world". Whether KVM-over-IP™ or original KVM – G&D provide their customers with the best of both worlds and show that both systems have their advantages. Visitors of ISE 2019 can also look forward to the demonstration of an 8K extender system.

The DP1.2-VisionXG system is a powerful KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz – pixel-perfect, uncompressed, without any loss and latency-free. The extender system transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers. In this way, the system enables users to operate their computers remotely in real time.

This and much more is waiting for visitors of ISE 2019 at booth 10-N180.
